Gabbang/Abbang
An instrument used by Gamaba Artist, Uwang Ahadas.
Gabbang/Abbang is a bamboo xylophone which is widely used in Southern Philippines. It is often used for entertainment and is a practice instrument among the young preparing to learn the kwintangan. The concept of producing music and techniques for playing both the kwintangan kayu and the gabbang are essentially the same as that of the kwintangan.
